Description

MPT – Metallurgy Expert – Foundry technology * Assurance of material quality of purchased parts with focus on preventive measures * Auditing/Approval of suppliers with respect to special process ( foundry technology, Steel mill, Heat treatment & Surface treatment) * Solving material related problems, handle complaints in serial production in cooperation with suppliers, supplier management and responsible R&D departments * Contribution of material related aspects in product launch and change management * Preventive collaboration with suppliers up to production process and product release * Evaluation of usability in case of quality deviations of purchased parts * Provide expertise solution for change requests and deviation requests * Interpretation and evaluation of investigations of deviations, initiation, and monitoring of corrective actions at the supplier end. * Collaboration in cross functional strategic and/or technical projects, local lead of cross-plant projects and work groups * Further development/review of new or advanced materials and testing methods as well as machine and process technology * Material Compliance management - IMDS * SQD – Preventive Quality – PTI Supplier Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct end to end assessments of the supplier process to identify gaps and improvement areas – Majorly in Ferrous Casting process. Supplier Performance Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement actions that improve QCD complying to OEM standards Process Development: Support suppliers in implementing Lean Tools, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods enhancing process efficiency & quality Supplier Training & Coaching: Provide training and mentorship to suppliers on Best Practices and quality requirements New Supplier Onboarding: Audit the suppliers and on board the suitable supplier for OEM ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and sustainability requirements. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of supplier development activities, Sustenance of improvements and provide regular reports to management Process & Methods : Coordinate for internal system audits, establish new process and develop tools for supplier improvements Facilitate and drive cross-learning forums with suppliers to promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and collaborate across the supply base, enhancing overall supplier development and innovation.

Responsibilities

Ensure the material quality of purchased parts by auditing suppliers and managing special processes like foundry and heat treatment. Drive supplier performance improvement through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and manage material compliance via IMDS.
