JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Material Resource Planner & Buyer will manage the flow of direct material for the ABC COMPONENTS AT THE GEV FRST Site with a focus on achieving safety, quality, delivery, and inventory objectives. As an MRP Planner & Buyer, you will ensure that all required materials to execute the schedule are available and that all transactions are properly executed in the planning systems. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others cross functionally.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, Supply Chain or related fields OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 5 years manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Materials, Inventory Management and Warehouse Modules and or Production Planning and Control
  • Experience working with a modern ERP platform

  • This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC Forrester Drive location

Responsibilities

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure timely creation and release of Production Orders, Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders to support the master schedule.
  • Provide functional material responsibility for assembly, machining, and/or sub-contract processes as required, this includes material movements within the warehouse, shop and subcontracting vendors.
  • Identify all critical material shortages, monitor the implementation of corrective actions plans, control inventory levels of components, and coordinate the disposition of obsolete, non-conforming, and excess.
  • Monitor performance to the plan and take pro-active action to solve problems and mitigate risk in meeting the plan
  • Be responsible for inventory management for assigned parts and processes required to ensure material input to support customer requirements while financial inventory objectives are accomplished
  • Maintain manufacturing Bill of Material (BOM) and Master Data accuracy for parts within an assigned commodity.
  • Be responsible for system cleanliness through date management and exception message analysis and action. Keep ERP system up to date, including updating scheduling changes and cancelations
  • Monitors schedule adherence, on time release, actual vs. system lead times and on time completion of work orders.
  • Interface with the Operations Team, Shop Scheduling, configuration control, Lifecycle Center of Excellence (COE), Service Center Mangers, and other GE organizations as required.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changes and cancelations
  • Apply appropriate Sourcing policies, including management of deflation activities and supply change risk mitigation
  • Support sourcing initiatives, including lead time reduction, New Product Introduction (NPI), payment terms and cash flow improvements
  • Manage projects in a matrix organization across the globe, including interacting with manufacturing personnel to understand unique supplier requirements of global supply chain businesses
  • Complete all required training in the defined timelines.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $90,400.00 - $120,400.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This posting is expected to close on August 16, 2025, or thereafter.
