Description

We are looking for a talented Material Technician to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Maxton, NC. Job Summary: Under direct or close supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse. Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices. Accurately sort, label, and store goods; arrange storage to optimize warehouse space. Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: • Ensuring Safety: By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately, you’ll help maintain a safe working environment. • Compliance and Reporting: Your adherence to HSE standards and prompt reporting of any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards will ensure compliance and improve workplace safety. • Environmental Stewardship: Recognizing the environmental impact of your work and striving to minimize negative effects will contribute to sustainable practices. • Quality Assurance: Performing quality checks and identifying non-conforming materials will help maintain high standards and reduce costs. • Efficient Delivery: Accurately receiving, sorting, labeling, and storing goods will optimize warehouse space and ensure timely delivery to customers. • Team Collaboration: Effective communication with your team and support staff will foster a collaborative work environment and improve overall efficiency. • Continuous Improvement: Actively participating in training and improvement initiatives will enhance safety, quality, and process efficiency. • Maintaining Order: Keeping your work area clean and orderly, and performing routine maintenance tasks, will contribute to a well-organized and efficient workplace.
