Description POSITION SUMMARY: To maintain accurate inventory, receive raw materials and product into ERP, issue appropriate materials to production, to move production and other items from the plant floor to designated areas; store and ship according to customer requirements and company procedures while maintaining compliance with DHS, OSHA, FDA, and other certification agency requirements; to maintain a safe working environment, operate material handling equipment, and follow all company GMP, Code of Conduct and Safety Rules; to ship orders completely, accurately, and in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operates fork lift in a safe manner. Charge and water fork lift batteries; Loads and unloads trailers for shipments and receipts; Utilizes ERP transactions for all receipts, movements and issuance of raw materials and packaging components; staging, and shipping of customer orders, warehouse transfers or customer returns; Secures trailers with dock locks or wheel chocks before entering with a fork lift. Removes or unlocks when loading / unloading is complete; Installs and removes dock plates, opens and closes dock doors and ensures they remain locked for security and safety reasons; Labels, stretch wraps, stages, and ships orders in compliance with customer requirements and company procedures; Repacks cartons; Completes staging requests of raw material from production to correct machine; Moves production from plant floor and loads onto trucks or places in designated warehouse location; Performs RTI’s for color, liner, and WIP caps returned to the warehouse from production; Prepares weekly inventory report for Purchasing and warehouse bin checks; Prints ship sets, bills of lading, and labels; Responds to telephone queries, receive and send fax information; Accurately unload resin from railcars to silo; Complete sanitation log weekly and monthly as assigned; Shovel and salt outside grounds when needed; Maintain scrap totes/balers receiving in and replacing when needed; Maintains staging lanes using fork lift; Takes part in fiscal year-end inventory audit preparation. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures; Responsible for following all Safety Rules, Code of Conduct policies, procedures and WI; Performs duties that may be assigned. Requirements EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years forklift experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Pushing or Pulling (5-25 lbs. typically 40 – 70% of the day); Lifting or Carrying (5-25 lbs. typically 0-15% of the day); Simple grasping (15-70%); Firm grasping (15-70%). EQUIPMENT USED: Computer terminal, tape gun, box maker, lift truck, cart, pallet jack, barrel, dolly, copier, scissors, radio, RF gun, and copier.
