Description
We are looking for a talented Material Working Leader on 2nd Shift to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Cummins Inc. facility in Maxton, NC. Job Summary: Acts as a formal resource coordinating others. Coordinates operations through interaction with operations management. Coordinates activities for different areas like Inbound, Outbound, Kitting, etc. based on direction from Operations management. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:  •  Stopping unsafe work and reporting hazards immediately, preventing injuries and reinforcing a culture where safety is non negotiable. •  Using proper protective equipment and correcting hazards within your control, showing leadership through consistent safe behavior. •  Minimizing environmental impact through awareness and responsible actions, helping the site meet its sustainability commitments. •  Leading and engaging in HSE training, raising workforce competence and building an interdependent safety culture. •  Identifying quality issues early and escalating them, reducing defects, rework, and cost exposure. •  Ensuring accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, directly supporting reliable, on time delivery to customers. •  Driving improvements in safety, quality, process flow, and housekeeping, contributing to a more efficient and stable operation. •  Collaborating effectively with peers, support teams, and skilled trades, strengthening team performance and keeping equipment in good working condition.
