  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office; ERP
  • Must be familiar with a wide range of tools, their uses and safety precautions
  • Ability to organize an efficient tool crib
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift, move, and organize materials as required.
  • Custodial responsibilities for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of a building or facility

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Materials and Equipment Coordinator to join our client’s team. This is an amazing opportunity to join a well-established company in Cobourg. This role is responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving activities, maintaining proper inventory of materials, and managing tools and equipment to support day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and capable of working independently while supporting multiple departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate all shipping and receiving activities, including preparing shipments, verifying documentation, and arranging transportation.
  • Utilizing forklifts, hand trucks, cranes, and other equipment to load, unload and transport materials
  • Track, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and consumable materials.
  • Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor equipment usage, perform inspections, and arrange for repairs or replacements when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and equipment area.
  • Support production and operations teams with materials and equipment needs.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and reporting.
  • Follow company policies and health & safety procedures at all times.
