Description Shift: 3 days x 8 hour shifts (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) Perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment by receiving and distributing incoming medical supplies, as well as assisting with pulling cases. Maintain facility standards in patient care and practice in accordance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inspect and verify incoming goods against packing slips or other documents, report shortages, reject damaged goods.. Promptly breakdown deliveries, sort and distribute supplies to the appropriate departments Processes surgical casework and creates requisitions as needed. Scans and labels incoming supplies. Pulls supplies for patient case carts Restocks specialty supply and implant carts. Restocks goods for the central supply room. Rotates and checks supply outdates Assists with cycle/inventory counts Looks for opportunities to standardize supplies. Routinely assesses opportunities to reduce supply costs Train on inventory control application, complete data entry. Maintains a positive and respectful attitude when engaging with vendors and drivers Maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment. Participates in performance improvement activities. Attends and participates in department meetings. Attends mandatory educational programs. Complies with safety policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and The Joint Commission, participates in center-wise safety training activities. Acts as backup to Materials Coordinator, if applicable Performs other duties as assigned by manager Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous medical and inventory experience preferred. Experience inputting and retrieving data from a computerized inventory system preferred Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language Basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to set priorities. Ability to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, etc. Superior interpersonal skills. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
