We currently have an opening for a Materials Associate / Inventory Clerk for Industrial Physics in our New Albany, Indiana location. JOB SUMMARY: Our materials team is seeking a Materials Associate /Inventory Clerk to perform inventory counts in accordance with established standards and processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Inventory cycle counts. Ensure that any defects found during the cycle counting process are identified and segregated. Data input/retrieval from 123Insight ERP system (will be trained). Ability to Cross train in multiple areas of materials for workflow knowledge in Receiving, Shipping, Work Orders, Kitting etc. Work with team members to collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives relating to materials inventory. Ensure that all equipment used is maintained in accordance with company protocols Perform additional duties beyond the scope of work upon request. Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must be organized and maintain a clean, safe work area. Basic knowledge of standard inventory functions. Basic demonstrated knowledge of computers. Good attention to detail and demonstrated accuracy. Be a team player, ready and willing to assist others. Participate in LEAN activities to improve efficiency and standard work practices. Also be able to read and understand receiving and work order paperwork, Participate in problem-solving and improvement teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at a time. Must be flexible and available for overtime where necessary. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: · High School or High School equivalent diploma required. · A minimum of 3-years prior manufacturing work experience
