Job Title: Materials Buyer Location: Chesterfield   Job Description: Summary of Position This is a full-time on-site role for a Materials Buyer at Natoli Engineering Company, Inc. The Materials Buyer will be responsible for analyzing and managing the inventory and the requirements, quoting, creating and maintaining purchase orders, receiving, and managing procurement processes. Effective communication with vendors and internal stakeholders is essential in this role.   Job Specification: Essential Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Responsible for purchasing raw materials, tooling, supplies for the shop, maintenance and cleaning supplies to support manufacturing operations. · Maintain inventory of raw material and consumable items such as, but not limited to, drills, taps, cutters, etc., while forecasting price trends and their impact on future requirements. · Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors as needed, while assessing risk factors when making buying/supply decisions. · Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with available SOP’s. · Identify potential suppliers and the collection of supplier information, while building foundational relationships. · Provide cost and lead time information provided by vendors to appropriate individuals at meetings and as needed · Receive inventory into ERP system. · Issue raw materials to jobs, ensure that cost of materials is applied, and material certifications are included with jobs. · Support Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Management as necessary to manage supply-chain. · Interact with Accounts Payable to reconcile invoices. · Arrange for appropriate disposition of rejected items with the Quality Department. · This list is not intended to be all-inclusive. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS · Knowledge of analyzing requirements, quoting, purchasing, receiving and inventory processes, with attention to details. · Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
