JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary: Continuously improve the facility’s production planning, inventory control, customer service, and logistics. Provide support to the Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse Departments to provide high quality products in greater numbers at a superior level of service to the customer.

Essential duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter sales orders and subsequent changes to guarantee the delivery of customer requirements.
  • Purchase the raw materials needed by the production department to manufacture quality products efficiently.
  • Communicate directly with customers to satisfy product and delivery needs information or planning requirements, and materials specifications.
  • Assist/perform production planning on a daily basis and monthly scheduling to meet customer demand and maximize machine efficiencies.
  • Assist with inventory control through cycle counting, production scheduling, and warehousing reconciliations.
  • Monitor and maintain MTP program including internal requirements and customer balances.
  • Assist with and perform regular maintenance on the manufacturing database to provide optimum use and accurate reporting.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Education: High school diploma required; College experience preferred; Combined experience may be considered.
  • Systems: SAP experience is a plus along with Microsoft Office Skills. Ability to create excel spreadsheets and simple formulas.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.
  • Reason: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and customer needs.
