Role Purpose:

  • To ensure the efficient and timely delivery, storage, tracking, and issuance of materials required for the successful execution of engineering construction projects.
  • The Materials Controller manages material inventories, coordinates with procurement, and ensures material quality and compliance with project specifications
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Monitor and control the receipt, storage, and issuance of project materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using ERP or material trackingsystems.
  • Ensure materials are stored in compliance with health, safety, and environmental(HSE) regulations and project standards.
  • Liaise with procurement, logistics, engineering, and construction teams to ensurematerial availability aligns with the project schedule.
  • Coordinate deliveries and resolve discrepancies in quantity or quality with vendors and procurement teams.
  • Support construction teams with timely issuance and location of materials.
  • Maintain all documentation related to material deliveries, inspections, and stocklevels.
  • Generate regular reports on material status, shortages, excesses, and issues to project management.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as required.
  • Verify material compliance with technical specifications and certificates upon delivery.
  • Ensure traceability and proper tagging of critical and high-value materials.
  • Identify and report damaged or non-conforming materials.
