On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Materials Coordinator (Shipping/Receiving) with a Valid Forklift license in KITCHENER.
Shift: Monday – Friday: Afternoon - 3:00pm - 11:30pm
This is a FULL-TIME position and is not open to students - even those on a scheduled break - the client is looking for long-term candidates.
Pay Rate: $18.25/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly! (Compensation review after probation)
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Counter balance Forklift License. (In house certifications are not acceptable for this role)
Minimum 2 years experience operating Forklift
Detailed history of shipping receiving experience (bills of lading, competency with paperwork)
Ability to lift 25kg safely and consistently (this is not just a Forklift Operator role)
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting needed
Experience with injection molding and plastics
Comfortable moving for majority of shift
CSA Approved Footwear
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Reliable, punctual and dependable

20% Forklift duties, 80% other duties throughout warehouse
Move stock throughout warehouse using Counter Balance Forklift (must have valid license - “In-house” License is not a valid license)
Prepare and process shipping documentation
Arrange pick ups with transport companies, obtain freight quotes
Cycle counts, picking and packing
Cleaning of machines, ovens, hoppers, silos.
Organization of yard and warehouse (keep orderly, remove debris/garbage, recycling, etc.)
Tracking and inspection of trailers
Assist with implementations and maintenance of 6S program
Assisting as machine operator when needed (injection moulding, resins)
Other duties as assigned
