Position Summary The Materials Coordinator supports the Purchasing Department by ensuring materials are accurately planned, ordered, tracked, and available to meet production schedules. This role works closely with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and Quality teams to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent delays. Key Responsibilities Review production schedules and BOMs to determine material needs. Track purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery. Monitor inventory levels and support cycle counts and reconciliation. Assist with quoting, vendor communication, and purchase order entry. Communicate material status, shortages, and delays across departments. Maintain accurate data and documentation in the ERP system. Success Indicators Materials available on time for production. Accurate inventory and reduced discrepancies. Timely and complete PO processing. Strong communication and issue resolution across teams. Requirements Qualifications 2+ years in purchasing, inventory control, or materials coordination (manufacturing preferred). Experience with ERP/MRP systems and BOMs. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through. Effective communicator and proactive problem-solver. Microsoft Excel Skills Necessary.
