Job Description This is a Senior Engineering position which requires a high level of creativity and originality and initiative in accomplishing assignments. Can work independently whenever necessary, to improve the quality of suppliers' piece-parts in the area of responsibility. Identifies and evaluates alternative materials or suppliers to maintain competitive quality, assurance of supply and/or pricing of piece-parts. Provide technical support for NPI (New Product Introduction) & Product Transfer. Assists manufacturing in resolving material related issues and also provide technical guidance to less experienced Engineers. Responsibilities Provides technical support in terms of specification interpretation, adequacy of existing documentation, disposition of non-conforming materials, and training on the usage of all inspection measuring equipment. Identifies and plans for inspection and test requirements needed for adequate assessment of the quality of incoming piece-parts. Analyzes inspection, evaluation and test data. Feedback quality performance and follow-up on quality issues with suppliers. Active involvement in quality improvement program with suppliers. Leads in sourcing for substitute/ alternative materials to achieve cost savings, ensuring assurance of supply and / or improve quality of piece-parts. Assists manufacturing in evaluating material related issue to ensure correct disposition of non-conformance materials. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with minimum 5 years related experience. Excellent communication skills and able to work with all levels. Flexible in switching roles, responsibility & new task when needed. A desire to work under aggressive deadlines, fast paced & collaborate environment. Resourcefulness, attention to details, demonstrate sound analysis skill and offering solutions. Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
