Description The Materials Handler is responsible for purchase order receiving and maintaining accurate inventory accounting procedures and will ensure that products are properly packaged, labeled, and loaded for outgoing shipments as well as accepting incoming deliveries. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids) When problems arise, resolves issues with contractors or vendors Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and international laws, regulations, and policies Monitors inventory movement using software applications and physical inventory count Consults with team leaders to plan deliveries Implements safe lifting and loading techniques Performs other related duties as assigned Shipping and Receiving: Accepts deliveries from USPS, FedEx, and freight deliveries Ensures product handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations, and daily, weekly, monthly, and annual business objectives Reviews tickets, scans, and packs inventory in shipping boxes Weighs and labels inventory to prepare for shipping Kitting and Inventory: Properly accounting for the location of all inventory goods including physical organization of all shelving to include frequent physical inventory cycle-counts and audits Receiving purchase orders and quality control of received goods Accurate identification of incoming products to packing slips Closing out of purchase orders and accurately updating inventory management system Kitting of manufacturing work orders Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (required) Interpersonal and customer service skills Basic understanding of truck freight rates Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory
