Pay: $16-$16.50 Schedule: 10 AM to 7 PM, Off Wednesdays and Thursdays MISSION: It is our commitment to provide our customers a one-stop destination for the largest selection of quality home furnishings at the lower prices every day, while striving to enrich, fulfill, and reward our employees and the communities we live in. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: General warehouse duties such as, but not limited to: * Loading and unloading of trucks, * Make sure all merchandise is labeled with a destination using a scan gun properly * Removing any damaged merchandise and take to repair shop * Stage merchandise in correct area within the warehouse in a timely fashion, * Assembly/disassembly of merchandise * Keep warehouse area clean, removing trash from work area, sweeping work area * Inspect merchandise for functionality, damages, defects, and imperfections * Loading customer merchandise * Make all necessary copies and paperwork and obtain customer signatures on waivers * Knowledge of correct ticket procedures * Gathering empty boxes and breaking them down, sweeping warehouse, operating the trash compactor * Move items off-loading belts or vehicles * Account for all scheduled items for next day delivery * Checking for shortages through auditing the manifest * Use proper procedures when working with knifes, flat carts, and lifting merchandise * Assisting other departments in the warehouse as needed * Check daily closing assignments and responsibilities * Use excellent customer relations when working with internal and external customers. * Perform any other duties as directed by management EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs; ability to communicate effectively with team members; positive attitude when working with customers; ability to work in a face paced environment; knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures. Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or 1 chargeable accident within the last three years. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, an employee must be able to perform the following: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion. Heavy Work: Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs constantly to move objects. Responsibilities
