Description
The Materials Intern will support the onsite supply chain organization by managing materials, tracking inventory, and coordinating procurement activities. They will also handle site administration tasks, including maintaining onsite store, facilitating internal communications, and assisting with cross-functional projects to ensure smooth daily operations. A. Work with Operations Materials Manager, Production Schedulers, and Purchasing teams B. Enter and manage site MRO orders C. Assist with reporting cost savings for projects D. Manage site communications channels, partnering with the site Human Resources Manager E. Manage inventory and oversight of onsite employee appreciation store F. Other administration tasks as needed H. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, from an accredited institution. Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Relocation is not provided. Major in Supply Chain, Economics, Management, Business Administration or Analytics Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community. Position Criteria: Desire to build a career in supply chain. Highly self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve results. Transportation to and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including the worksite) will be reimbursed.
