Description

Ensures the daily, efficient management of Operating Room supplies, equipment, instruments, repairs, etc. Processes, tracks and receives orders for supplies, equipment, instruments and repairs and maintains accurate files relating to the orders. Ensures that all Operating Room supply storage areas are stocked with the appropriate amount and type of supply required on a daily basis. Assists in the overall management of the O.R. Materials Section. Works with O.R. staff and other hospital departments to ensure the overall efficiency of the O.R. supply system. Qualifications Education • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Experience • 2 years experience in related position or equivalent combination of acceptable post High School training and experience (Required) • General Experience with automated materials management systems (Required)

Responsibilities

This role ensures the efficient daily management of Operating Room supplies, equipment, and instruments, including processing, tracking, and receiving all related orders. The clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels in all OR supply storage areas and assisting in the overall management of the OR Materials Section.
