This position directly impacts fill rates, inventory accuracy, vendor performance, and overall operational efficiency. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: * Reviewing purchase assist reports daily and placing accurate purchase orders without delay * Auditing vendor order acknowledgements for pricing, quantity, and lead time discrepancies before entry into system * Identifying vendors, soliciting bids, and negotiating contracts to secure the best prices and favorable terms * Holding vendors accountable for agreed pricing, quality standards, and delivery timelines * Accurately processing receiving documentation from vendor packing slips * Ensuring barcode labels are generated correctly for both stock and special-order materials * Receiving product into inventory promptly and approve matching invoices within established time-frames * Providing accurate, proactive communication to Customer Service, Sales, and Shop leadership regarding material status and sourcing * Working directly with shop team leaders to resolve quality issues and minimize operational disruption * Analyzing financial data and market trends to estimate costs and find cost-effective alternatives * Evaluating supplier performance based on reliability, quality, service, building long-term relationships WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A GREAT FIT: * Strong communication skills with the ability to manage and challenge vendor performance * Proven purchasing experience, preferably in building materials or manufacturing * General knowledge of millwork products preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Office * Strong analytical and organizational skills * High attention to detail * Ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment * Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
