Job Description: Areias Systems Inc., an electro-mechanical contract manufacturer located in Scotts Valley, CA, is searching for a Materials Manager to lead purchasing and stockroom personnel.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and MS Office Suite
· Working level experience with MRP system, 1year or more
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· College degree preferred but not required depending on experience.
· Industry certifications and electro-mechanical assembly experience will influence the hiring decision.
· Candidates must have a positive approach to problem-solving, team interactions and strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

· Train the team on, and ensure following process
· Verify Material Planning (MRP) accuracy and execution of requirements
· Provide recommendations where needed
· Support customer- and sales-related activities and inquiries
· Manage inventory to reduce excess and obsolete inventory
· Participate in production meetings to align with customer needs
· Place purchase orders for select components
· Perform supplier review
· Negotiate component pricing
· Evaluate potential suppliers for products and services
· Support production with expedited activities and products as needed
· Maintain PO delivery information with accurate delivery dates
· Maintain supplier information in MRP system
· Work with accounting to resolve payment issues
