Description

Location: Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico Reports To: Plant Director Summary Core Molding Technologies is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to lead plant materials management activities including material planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics coordination. This role ensures the timely availability of materials to support production schedules while maintaining appropriate inventory levels, controlling costs, and supporting operational efficiency. The Materials Manager works closely with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure materials flow effectively supports manufacturing operations and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities * Manage materials planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics activities to support plant production schedules * Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components to meet production and customer requirements * Maintain inventory levels within company targets and management guidelines * Oversee ERP transactions for raw materials and finished goods * Maintain supplier certification records and ensure material compliance with product requirements * Coordinate with production planning to avoid material shortages and production disruptions * Drive cost reduction initiatives related to materials purchasing and inventory management * Lead and develop the plant materials team * Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards * Promote Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives within materials operations * Ensure proper handling and disposal of materials and waste according to environmental standards Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field * Minimum 5 years of experience in a Materials Manager or similar leadership role * Bilingual (English/Spanish) required * Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably automotive or industrial manufacturing * Knowledge of materials planning, purchasing, logistics, and inventory control systems * Experience working with ERP/MRP systems Competencies * Leadership * Continuous improvement mindset * Customer focus * Adaptability and problem solving * Team collaboration Skills * Materials planning and inventory control * Procurement and cost analysis * Analytical and data interpretation skills * Personnel leadership and team management * Strong communication skills Recruiters We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party agencies.
