Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Program Management, the Materials Manager oversees Sales & Operations Planning and Materials Operations. This includes demand planning, supply planning, materials storage and job site delivery of materials.  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Collaborate with Product Management, Boat Managers and Value Stream Managers to ensure adequate visibility to demand while maintaining staffing plans and minimizing inventory. 2. Develop and maintain inventory management systems to track raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. 3. Convert data into usable metrics and information for Operations and Supply Chain. 4. Collaborate with production and sales teams to project material needs and schedule deliveries according to production timelines, ensuring projects are executed on time. 5. Manage shipping, receiving, and warehousing to ensure efficient movement and secure storage of materials. 6. Monitor department budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as reducing "dead" (obsolete) inventory and optimizing transportation costs. 7. Oversee regular cycle counts to ensure ERP/MRP system accuracy. 8. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field * 5+ years of experience in materials management or supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Syteline preferred) and advanced Excel for data analysis. * APICS (CPIM or CSCP) or ISM (CPSM) certifications are highly preferred. COMMUNICATION: Must demonstrate an ability to effectively lead meetings. Must have great verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen, talk, and teach. 1st Shift Schedule: Similar to Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 3:30pm, Friday, 6:00am - 10:00am
