Materials Mgmt - Director of Supply Chain Management BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Director of Supply Chain Management provides professional support in the areas of supply processing, distribution, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, and central sterilization operations. For Supply Chain Management, the primary objective is to manage and control the flow of supplies and equipment from acquisition to disposition. Areas of emphasis include supply and capital budgets, inventory control, asset management and adherence to organizational and GPO contracts for supplies and equipment. Directs hospital wide purchasing and Material Management functions with responsibilities for hospital purchasing, inventory control, material systems and financial controls. Responsible for department budget adherence and requisite review and analysis of departmental operations reports. The Director of Supply Chain Management is responsible for the planning and organizing resources, processes and activities involved in the day-to-day management of Central Sterilization operations to ensure the delivery of services and results as well as compliance with organizational policy and adherence to guidelines per the Joint Commission accreditation standards.
