Overview Distributes sterile and non-sterile supplies to various units ensuring appropriate charges are made to patient and departmental accounts. Responsibilities • Counts, restocks and cleans par level carts daily.• Enters and maintains co mputer data to maintain supply carts. Prints patient charge labels andattaches to product.• Checks supplies in treatment rooms and on nursing units. Replaces outdated supplies, suppliesadmission kits, returns supplies and equipment, examination trays, which are no longer neededand ensures proper records maintained for actions.• Fills requests from various nursing units, other hospital departments and follows through onrecordkeeping.• Cleans and restocks shelves as needed.• Performs inventory as required.• Assists Receiving when needed. • Identifies excess stock on hand and takes appropriate disposal action move .• Must be able to enter correct information into Material Management Computer System.• Performs additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications Education Required: Requires ability to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations and basic knowledge ofsterile processing techniques normally acquired during full time participation in brief vocationaleducation program.
