Receives, inspects and delivers incoming materials, supplies and equipment to warehouse or user departments as directed; maintains stock inventories and compiles stock records; replenishes supply exchange cart according to predetermined cart quota profile. Responsible for monitoring nursing unit par-levels, while working with nurse managers and warehouse management staff to recommend changes as needed. Must help with the preparation of spreadsheets to implement such changes

Responsibilities:

  • Unloads trucks and transports merchandise into warehouse as required using hand truck, power truck or fork lift as appropriate; stocks merchandise onto warehouse shelves; segregating supplies by type or class within fire, safety and security requirements.
  • Receives incoming materials, supplies and equipment and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; notifies supervisor of discrepancies or damaged merchandise.
  • Enters data relating to items received into PeopleSoft Inventory System, checking entry for accuracy
  • Completes required paperwork on merchandise being returned to vendor.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of exchange carts to be delivered and of storage areas on nursing stations.
  • Replenishes floor carts to established quota on a daily basis, calculating quantity of items required from predetermined cart quota profile; delivers to nursing stations.
  • Records quantity and identity of items stocked on floor cart so that adequate par levels may be maintained; notifies appropriate personnel of low stock
  • Delivers merchandise requested by purchase order or requisition to locations throughout the Medical Center, including stocking nursing stations with basic pharmacy items; obtains required signatures for accepted items.
  • Works with hand held scanning devices, to assure accurate supply levels on each nursing unit.
  • Works as a liaison between nursing and materials management staff to recommend changes as it relates to supply as well as cart architecture.
  • Helps in the maintenance of AT-Par labeling, both on the units as well as in the Warehouse
  • Prepares spreadsheets as needed for par–quantity changes, as well as documentation for supply chain meetings.
  • Must be flexible and able to work in every supply chain capacity as needed.
  • Helps to identify problems and recommends solutions for such.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:
Education:
Must have minimum of an Associates degree as required.
Experience:
2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
Skills:
Must pass alphanumeric skills test.
Must pass basic math skills test.
Data entry skills required
Must pass Microsoft excel and word competency test.
Good oral communication skills.
Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position; knowledge of a second language preferred.
Pay Range: USD $27.30 - USD $27.83 /Yr.
