Job Description
General Description:
Plan and monitor the supply of direct materials aligned with inventory costs and sourcing objectives. Ensure to meet internal customer requirements and production schedules in terms of date and quantity.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the availability of materials for production based on issued purchase orders.
- Coordinate the receipt and storage of materials received from suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust material orders to avoid excess or shortage.
- Maintain constant communication with suppliers to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
- Generate periodic reports on inventory status and material demand.
- Ensure materials are available for production on time to prevent disruptions.
- Coordinate with other departments to adjust orders based on actual production demand.
- Propose improvements to material planning processes to increase efficiency.
- Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce associated costs.
Qualifications
- Experienced SAP user
- First work experience within logistics
- Proficient English (spoken and written)
- Strong teamplayer enjoying the work in cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working under pressure
