Teamwork- Proactive & effective communication, respect, humility, curious, openminded, diversity Basic Functions and Scope of Job: The purpose of the Materials Planner is to ensure that the supply of materials meets the production schedule and minimum stock levels to ensure operational and production continuity in our two facilities. Able to deliver efficient, effective, and flexible solutions to meet production requirements while maintaining inventory goals. Maintains strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure supply of materials meets requirements with highest degree of accuracy. Work under general supervision, reviewed by Long Term Planning Manager. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Determining the required materials to ensure procurement of parts in two production facilities. Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for all production within targeted inventory goals. Assist in managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations. Process and analyze large data related to material procurement. Track production volume and assist in monitoring customer demand patterns. Manage material transitions due to Engineering Change Notifications and new product introduction. Review and assist in inventory cycle counts as well as year-end inventory research and adjustments in accordance with company policies and procedures. Perform SAP entries and transactions in an accurate and timely manner. Modify or suggest modifications to Item Master data in SAP as applicable. Office based, required to spend time on production floor as needed. Maintain a neat, clean, and safe working condition. Adhere to all the established department and company standard operating procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements This role is pivotal in supporting production efforts. The individual in this position must have a high degree of integrity, resourcefulness, and professionalism in working with colleagues and clients. Relationship building, customer service, and the ability to follow up in a timely manner are critical for success. The ideal candidate will have relative experience, excellent communication and time management skills, and manufacturing aptitude. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, inventory management or a related field preferred. 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing processes and supply chain management. 3+ years’ experience in production planning or scheduling. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced technical experience in Excel and Access. Functional and practical knowledge of SAP or advanced experience with other MRP/ERP systems required. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent customer service & problem-solving skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and the capabilities to operate independently and take initiative are required. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to offer effective plans with incomplete input.
