Position Summary: The Materials and Processing (M&P) Engineer leads Barber-Nichol’s efforts in material selection, processing plans and troubleshooting material investigations stemming from new order design, process plans and shop routers, through returned good investigations. The M&P Engineer will work closely with engineering and operations to ensure requirements are met from customer specification, industry specifications and internal requirements.
Key Results Areas:
Assists in validation of material selections for Barber-Nichols machines.
Develop manufacturing processes to support product manufacturing to meet customer requirements by identifying needs for, writing procedures and overseeing execution of process qualification including the following but not limited to:

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
