• Responsible to ensure every shipment is accurately labelled, ships to the correct location and arrives on time.
• Supervise bargaining unit shipping and repack personnel and ensure safety policies are followed
• Maintain a clean and organized environment using the 5S Program
• Review and manage customer releases
• Ensure all customer systems are reviewed and updated daily
• Ensure tickets are answered within the allotted timeframes as specified from all customers including weekends when necessary
• Coordinate trucking companies to arrange for pickups and track shipments
• Distribute load sheets to proper personnel
• Create and run barcodes and accurate destination tags for all containers being shipped out
• Prepare shippers, custom papers and sales invoices for shipments
• Send accurate and timely ASNs
• Process and close sales batches daily
• Receive supplies coming into the plant
• Responsible for all dunnage management
• Responsible for maintaining shipping supplies
• Data processing as required for the Materials department
• Foster a positive team environment, assist coworkers as required
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned by management.
