Description The Materials Supervisor provides leadership to the team in areas of Receiving, material handling, storage, and shipping using Lean practices and EHS standards. What You Will Do: Will be expected to actively participate in the planning and execution of Lean projects. Contribute to EHS objectives by identifying potential issues and providing root cause identification with proposed corrective actions. Foster an environment of continuous improvement to eliminate waste and drive efficiency. Supervises, hires, trains and provides orientation to team. Enforces proper inventory procedures and ensures timely transactions by warehouse team. Ensure proper documentation of processes, equipment, systems, employee concerns and investigations. Develop and implement process improvements to support company KPIs and goals. Take appropriate action to effectively communicate where necessary any observations which may impact Workhorse’s ability to manufacture a quality product and achieve on-time delivery. Requirements Production and Inventory Control within manufacturing environments (5 years) with the ability to teach and coach others, minimum of 3 years in a lead/supervisory role. Associates Degree or Equivalent experience in Supply Chain/Leadership. Proficient skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and MRP software. Ability to safely operate all material handling equipment. Must be flexible and available for early start/late end and off-shift work. Experience managing and motivating people. What is Nice to Have: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or Manufacturing. Experience with performance reviews, coaching and development. Working knowledge of cost-effective inventory principles.
