Franciscan Health Michigan City Campus 3500 Franciscan Way Michigan City, Indiana 46360 A Materials Technician II performs a variety of Supply Chain department functions including receiving incoming supplies, inventory control, support and maintain PAR level locations, issue and fill departmental requisitions, deliver supplies, and provide clerical and ERP duties to assist in maintaining the proper quality and quantity of medical supplies for patient care. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Schedule: 8 hour shift that can vary between the hours of 6am and 4pm on weekdays. There is weekend and holiday rotation (about every 4th weekend and 4th holiday, 6am-4pm). Receive and deliver needed supplies in a timely manner. Count and inspect items for accuracy and damage. Release, stock issue, pick, and pack requisitions. Ability to operate necessary pallet jack or other supply transport equipment. Inventory maintenance: cycle counts, stock rotation, reports shortages/overages. Data entry into Inventory management system and other hospital systems. Process necessary paperwork for returns, and coordinating outgoing shipments. Responsible for keeping storage areas neat, clean and in accordance with department policy. Deliver, process, and clean moveable medical equipment when needed.
