In response to our growing community, Hume City Council’s Maternal Child Health (MCH) Service has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Officer to be part of our MCH administration team. Fluency in a community language would be favourably viewed. What you’ll be doing: Ensure that client appointments are made in a courteous, timely, effective, and efficient manner whilst maximising the availability of Maternal Child Health appointments, services, and programs. To provide a sensitive and comprehensive service delivery via telephone contact, email, and SMS, to clients, professional contacts, and staff within Maternal Child Health To undertake administrative support to achieve the delivery of effective and quality Maternal Child Health services and programs which reflects Council’s Values. To maintain confidentiality on appropriate matters and adhere to Council’s policies in respect to the giving and receiving of information. To be part of the Maternal Child Health Administration Team committed to the provision of the highest quality services and programs. The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role: The ability to work collaboratively within the Maternal and Child Health Team Appropriate knowledge of and expertise in the use of databases and administrative tasks related to Microsoft Office products, emailing, and sending sms’s from databases. Expertise in providing high quality telephone services using sensitivity whilst responding appropriately to clients and other professional contacts. You will have well-developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively and gain co-operation and assistance from clients, management, and employees at all levels within the organisation. Experience with the Victorian Child development Information System (CDIS) would be viewed favourably but not essential as all training provided. Fluency in a community language would be favourably viewed. Required Certifications & Qualifications: A nationally recognised Certificate in Administration, Customer Service or related field or relevant experience in the provision of high-level administration service.
