A opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to join our band 7 team.
The post holder will be a clearly identifiable and essential senior clinical member of the team responsible for undertaking a hybrid role, providing senior clinical shift support to the Maternity helpline, ambulatory service and coordination of the Labour Ward. They will have significant clinical experience, providing sound expertise to ensure delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate evidence based care.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering and supporting the team to provide an exemplary service that promotes evidence based care and advice to all women/birthing people, families who seek care and advice. They will be responsible for assessing and delivering maternity care that meets the needs of women and birthing people in the appropriate clinical area.

  • To lead on the identification of areas requiring quality improvement, to support the development and delivery of Quality and safety agenda.
  • To provide specialist advice and support to staff.
  • To ensure the department is compliant with Trust wide quality priorities and requirements.
  • To support the development of a learning culture within the service, ensuring key areas of learning, shared, understood and embedded within the service.
  • To work collaboratively with the Trust’s Patient Experience Team, Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) etc. monitoring that services user’s feedback remain central to quality agenda.
  • Maintain full compliance with own mandatory and statutory training.
