We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis and help continue our commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate teacher to join our school on a maternity cover basis. You will take on the responsibility of planning and delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring that every child is engaged, challenged, and supported in their learning journey. You will be working closely with our fantastic Year 1 team to maintain the high standards of education for our Year 1 children.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in English, Maths, Science, and other subjects for Year 1 pupils, including continuous provision.
  • Use assessment data to monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Promote our five core virtues of Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, Honesty and Kindness.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the school’s curriculum and teaching practices.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents and carers regarding pupil progress.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour management, ensuring a respectful and focused classroom atmosphere.
