An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy midwifery team as a maternity support worker with Antenatal Clinic.
This role requires individuals to work as a proactive member of the team and to undertake a range of duties to assist the ward team in maintaining the smooth running of the clinical area.
Applicants require a good standard of general education to GCSE level to include English and Mathematics. Applicants must be reliable and committed to supporting delivering excellent maternity care. Basic knowledge of data protection, recent experience with a variety of IT systems and confidentiality are essential. Basic antenatal care and maternity services would be advantageous.
Hours per week: 15
You will be supporting the multidisciplinary team with clinics held in the from early pregnancy and through the antenatal period, you would play a vital role in helping to deliver safe, effective care to women and their families with clear documentation.
You will undertake venepuncture, recording of maternal observations and supporting expectant women and their families through their pregnancy journey with underpinned knowledge of public health promotion.
You will also work with the team to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the department
