Job Title: In-Person Tutor – Grade 8 Math & Grade 6 English

About the Role
TutorCraft is seeking a dedicated and patient in-person tutor to provide one-on-one, in-home tutoring sessions for a Grade 8 Math student and a Grade 6 English student in the Westboro area of Ottawa. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to explain concepts in a clear, engaging, and age-appropriate way.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized tutoring sessions in Grade 8 Math and Grade 6 English.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs and goals.
• Reinforce classroom learning with practical exercises, homework help, and skill-building activities.
• Maintain a supportive, encouraging, and structured learning environment.
• Track student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of middle school level Math and English (Grade 6–8).
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred (formal or informal).
• Ability to travel to the student’s home in Westboro, Ottawa.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in communication.
• Patient, encouraging, and able to engage younger learners.

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling; sessions to be arranged directly with the family.
