FortBalance Education is a Vancouver based company that provides one to one/group learning sessions. Our services are customized for any student’s abilities and needs.
We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Math and English tutor to work with students. Our focus is on providing instruction in English language skills, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking, etc., for students of all ages, but with a primary emphasis on children.
(Online Only/Remote) We are only hiring applicants only located in Canada

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a STEM field: A solid educational foundation in English or a closely related field to ensure a comprehensive understanding of language and literature.
• Professional Recognition: Knowledge of SAT/SSAT/ACT preparation
• Possession of a fully functional iPad/digital writing tool: Equipped with the necessary technology to facilitate online teaching through platforms like Zoom.
• Knowledge of diverse teaching techniques and learning styles: An understanding of various instructional methods to cater to the diverse needs and learning preferences of students.
• Proficiency in teaching and reviewing all content related to English subjects: In-depth knowledge of grammar, literature, writing, and other components of English language arts.
• Past tutoring experience: 2-3 Years of previous experience in tutoring, demonstrating the ability to effectively guide and support students in their English language studies and Math
• Ability to confidently teach, explain, and solve problems: A capacity to articulate and clarify complex concepts in English, fostering a deeper understanding among students.
• Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and provide constructive feedback.
• Flexibility and willingness to accommodate students’ schedules: Adaptability to varying schedules and a commitment to meeting the individual needs of students.
• Passion for learning: An enthusiastic and continuous commitment to personal and professional development, fostering a love for learning in both oneself and students.
