Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students of various ages and skill levels. Responsibilities:
- Conduct tutoring sessions with students in one-on-one or small group settings
- Create personalized lesson plans based on the student’s needs and goals
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments
- Teach study skills and effective learning strategies
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop individualized education plans
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to engage students
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Experience working with students in a tutoring, teaching, or mentoring capacity
- Strong knowledge of subject matter (e.g., math, science, English, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Classroom management skills
- Experience in theater, sports coaching, childcare, or early childhood education is a plus
- Familiarity with childhood development principles
Qualifications:
You are able to work between 9:00am - 5pm (Monday-Friday/ part time available ) during the Summer camp (6/2 - 7/25) .
You are able to work between 2:00 pm- 7:00 pm. ( Monday - Friday) during the school year.
There is opportunity for overtime with the addition of private tutoring.
You are detail oriented, charismatic, reliable, friendly, and good with children.
You have your own reliable transportation to and from work.
You are fully vaccinated.
Experience:
Experience working with elementary and middle school students is preferred but not required.
Experience working with groups of children is also preferred but not required
