Job Summary Assists low-achieving students enrolled in schools receiving Federal Title I funds to improve academic achievement. Meets with students on a regular basis, assesses needs of children in the program, and develops instruction to meet each child's need.  What you will do * Assists low-achieving students in high-poverty schools receiving Federal Title I funds. * Regularly meets with students to review class material, discuss text, predict test questions, formulate ideas for papers, and develop on solutions to problems to assist low-achieving students improve academic achievement. * Collaborates with school staff and faculty to assess the needs of children and to determine how best to address those needs. * Develops lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students. * Reads aloud to students and assists students with reading; facilitates activities to improve fluency and comprehension. * Participates in educational team meetings, including development and review of progress.
