Overview

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Mathematics / Computer Science Subject Teachers.

Our school is a K12 private school, registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education and offers the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) curriculum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering academic excellence, and ensuring the overall well-being of students and staff.

To meet the needs of our diversified curriculum development, we are recruiting passionate, professionally skilled, and globally minded teacher.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Ontario-aligned Math & CS instruction (Grades 7–12) using Growing Success assessment guidelines.
  • Guide students in independent research, scientific writing, and critical thinking.
  • Embed computational thinking, AI tools, and simulations into daily teaching practice.
  • Prepare students for CEMC, AMC, Math League, Math Kangaroo, and other competitions.
  • Apply inquiry-based, project-based, flipped, and collaborative learning strategies.
  • Maintain an inclusive, inquiry-driven environment that encourages academic risk-taking.
  • Co-design cross-curricular STEM projects with colleagues.
  • Use formative/summative data to differentiate instruction and report progress to stakeholders.
  • Support students with STEM university applications and career planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, computer science, or related science education fields; master's preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of secondary-level (G7–G12) teaching experience; private school, IB, or AP background preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, Scratch, or other programming languages.
  • STEM education or math competition coaching experience.
  • Familiarity with Ontario's curriculum.
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is required.
  • ESL or international/cross-cultural curriculum experience preferred.
