THE POSITION

Loreto Toorak invites applications from experienced Mathematics/Science Teachers for a full time fixed term contract commencing Term 3 until the end of Term 4 2025. We are open to considering applications from candidates who could commence up to week 4 of Term 3.
Reporting to the Head of Faculty, the successful candidate will be a passionate and innovative educator dedicated to fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of mathematics and science among students. This role requires the ability to design and deliver dynamic, inquiry-based lessons that not only cover curriculum requirements but also inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
You will be responsible for teaching Year 11 General Mathematics, as well as Mathematics and Science to students from Year 7 through Year 10, including a specialised Year 10 science/chemistry class.
An emphasis on using effective teaching strategies to simplify complex concepts, encourage problem-solving skills, and integrate real-world applications will be essential.
