Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons for students.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages inquiry, collaboration, and independent thinking.
  • Implement the IB curriculum framework, including the development of unit plans, assessments, and internal assessments.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress and academic performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align teaching practices and curriculum delivery across the IBDP mathematics program.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
  • Stay abreast of developments in mathematics education and IB curriculum updates, and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Lead the Math Department aligning the curriculum along the secondary levels
  • Observe lessons from other math teachers and provide feedback.
