QUALIFICATIONS

  • The successful candidate should be able to tutor a wide range of topics in mathematics, especially our standard calculus and precalculus sequences.
  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics (preferred). Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Statistics or another area closely related to mathematics may be considered.
  • Experience as a post-secondary mathematics tutor or instructor is preferred.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include tutoring undergraduate students in mathematics. This position also plays an active role in advancing the mission of the Student Success Center by assisting with student success workshops on topics such as study skills, time management, and academic planning. Additionally, the role contributes to new student orientation programming and other retention-focused initiatives, helping to foster a supportive and engaging environment that promotes student persistence and success.
