JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong ability to connect with students of various ages and backgrounds. This role involves providing personalized instruction in subjects such as Math and Science, fostering an engaging learning environment that promotes academic success.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Proven background in tutoring or teaching, particularly in Math or Science.
  • Familiarity with classroom dynamics and special education practices is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills to utilize educational software and online resources effectively.

    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 2 – 30 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student learning objectives.
  • Assist students in understanding complex concepts in Math and Science through clear explanations and practical examples.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Create a supportive atmosphere that encourages student participation, questions, and confidence in their abilities.
  • Communicate regularly with our Educational assistant regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including attendance, topics covered, and student performance.
