JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for English and Maths tutors (Entry level to GCSE). This role involves working with secondary age students that are currently not in full time education due to ill health. Each student is seen for an 18 week period, face to face where possible and will be based in the London borough of Lewisham. SEN experience preferred. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with a focus on fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for students. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children and have experience in special education. As a Tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their academic goals while building their confidence and skills.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children of various age groups.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey concepts to students and engage with parents.
  • Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and understanding of diverse learning styles.
  • Knowledge of special education practices is highly desirable.
