At Thrive Tuition, we are seeking a primary-level maths and English tutor who is confident in delivering 2-hour lessons to students in small groups of three. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of A in GCSE English and maths, be a Russell Group University student or graduate and have a friendly/energetic approach to teaching young students. This position requires the tutor to work in-person and potentially online.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A in GCSE English, A in GCSE maths
  • Russell Group University student or graduate
  • EDBS checked
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to commute to face-to-face lessons (Forest Gate, East London)

Responsibilities
  • Preparing and delivering maths and English lessons (Y1-Y6) at our centre (E7 9HZ)
  • Tailoring your teaching style in accordance with students’ needs
  • Track and report student progression
  • Assign weekly homework
  • Discuss student progression with parents
  • Mark student assessments
  • Maintain centre: tidying, organising etc.
