Description

MATHS TEACHER WITH DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITY EAST LONDON SCHOOL E1 AND SOUTH SCHOOL SE1

The Complete Works (TCW) Independent School is seeking a passionate, adaptable and skilled Maths Teacher to take on a leadership responsibility within our dynamic and creative learning environment. This is a full-time role combining specialist teaching with departmental oversight, ideal for someone who thrives in a non-traditional, student-centred setting.

Responsibilities

THE EAST SCHOOL REQUIRES A MATHS TEACHER FOR 5 DAYS PER WEEK AND THE SOUTH SCHOOL REQUIRES A MATHS TEACHER FOR 2 DAYS PER WEEK (YOU CAN MAKE THIS ROLE FULL TIME ON THE OTHER DAYS WITH OTHER TEACHING)

TCW is an alternative independent school providing bespoke education for students across Key Stages 1–5 who are unable to attend mainstream settings. Many of our students have SEND or have experienced school exclusion. We work across London, providing 1:1 and small group teaching in homes, centres, and libraries – always striving to reignite a love of learning in our students.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Maths Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students with a wide range of abilities and needs, primarily in our East London learning centre.
  • Support and coordinate a small team of offsite Maths teachers to ensure continuity and consistency in student learning.
  • Work with the Maths Lead to train staff, develop curriculum resources, and maintain high standards across the department.
  • Oversee the progress of assigned students, support qualification entries (Functional Skills, GCSE, etc.), and manage assessment and reporting requirements.
  • Engage with students using creative and personalised approaches to meet their academic and emotional needs.
  • Be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and innovation in education.
