We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity in Oldham.
Job Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and confidence in mathematics. You will play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential while aligning with the school’s inclusive and values-driven ethos.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring students.
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider school community and support the school’s ethos values.
  • A DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Two professional references covering your last two years of employment, including at least one reference from a teaching role.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Support and motivate students of all abilities, ensuring they make progress and achieve their targets.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and valued.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths department to develop innovative teaching strategies.
  • Uphold the school’s ethos of respect, inclusion, and community, creating an environment where all students feel welcome.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing guidance and support where needed.
