A forward-thinking secondary school in Burton-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time, long-term temporary basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• Strong subject knowledge of the Maths curriculum up to GCSE level
• Previous experience teaching in a secondary school setting
• Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication, planning, and organisational abilities
• A genuine passion for teaching and supporting student achievement

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching where necessary
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that motivates and challenges pupils
• Collaborate with the Maths department and wider staff team to enhance curriculum delivery
• Contribute to wider school life, including attending meetings, CPD, and supporting extracurricular opportunities
• Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and encourage a respectful learning culture
