ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting for an Education Administrator to join our Curriculum Team in UCL’s Undergraduate Medicine programme (MBBS). This programme aims to qualify distinctive ‘UCL Doctors’ – highly capable, and patient-centred clinicians, equipped to practise medicine in a professional, inclusive, and sustainable way, grounded in science and best practice.
The Curriculum Team is responsible for managing the programme of study in each of the 5 years of UG training; for overall MBBS and clinical placement timetabling including allocations to NHS clinical placement providers, groups and specialties; and for liaising with placement administrators at each of our providers to guide local timetabling and content to ensure compliance with our curriculum requirements aligned with the General Medical Council’s Outcomes for Graduates. This particular post supports year 5 of the programme which includes core teaching, placement-based modules, in-course and end of module assessment, and formative clinical assessments.
The team liaises with the wider MBBS team who contribute to the delivery of this complex programme and with an extensive network of Professional Services, Academic and Clinical staff across UCL and our partner NHS Trusts, Primary Care and Specialist Providers. Curriculum administrators are student-facing and work collaboratively within and across teams to ensure high-quality services to staff and a high-quality experience for students.
